A Six Pack- The 16 Eggs a Day Way

John and I do this for 16 weeks and I'll I get is blog hits from Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This guy does it, and apparently this is newsworthy for some reason...

"I cannot go anywhere in Vegas without people asking me how my abs are doing," he said.

Really guy, really?

"He's just skinny" says Carrie, and I have to agree....

I do this for 16 weeks, and I dont end up on CNN? WTF!?!?!

This is why you're fat...

To be sung to the tune of "This is why I'm hot..."

Holy cow

An entire blog dedicated to grossly delicious mutant food pairings, and fried debauchery... Dont look at this if you're hungry, or if even if you're full. It's a good thing this wasn't sent to me when I was on my diet... And you thought the food pr0n post was bad...

Stay on that grind...

This blog used to be called: "A 16 Week Journey to Enhanced Muscularity."
After my show in May, the title was no longer appropriate.
It's new title is sort of an homage to what I hope is a lifetime pursuit of being a better me.

Though I'm a lot better than I used to be, I still find myself, from time to time, obssessing over my abs, or a missed meal, or *gasp* a missed training session.

I think I found someone I could relate to, and his name is Mike Walker.
You can't buy that kind of joy!

His headline is: "Man Solves Rubix Cube After 26 Years of Trying, Weeps in Victory."
After 26 years of trying, Parker finally managed to solve the Rubik's cube that confounded him. Now, you may be thinking that he only occasionally picked up the puzzle, slowing his progress—but the reality is that he obsessed over it day after day, night after night.
I realize there are tons of vids on youtube showing 6 year olds completing it, people completing it with one hand etc, but before you nay-sayers make fun of this guy, realize that we have something rare on our hands. A person who never gave up, and put his nose to the grindstone and achieved his goal the old fashioned way- hard work, baby!

When's the last time you grinded like that?

Bravo good sir!

Bigorexia, the movie

I wrote about this back in January, and I guess someone beat me to making a movie about it... pretty interesting.

The Bodybuilder and I

A film about a guy who is embarrassed by his bodybuilding father. I haven't seen it, but from the trailer you already know that this is making my skin crawl. Just what we need- someone putting bodybuilding in a negative light!

Got $3 Million I could borrow?

If you know anything about me, is that I love music.

I wake up in the morning, hop in the shower- music on the radio or on the cd.
I drive to work, music in the car.
I get to work, music on my iPhone or from the PC.
I go to the gym at lunch and have my Rammstein fed to me via iPod shuffle.
Then back to the work pc.
Then back to the car.
Then dishes at home with an apple tv with 20,000+ songs.

I keep the soundtrack to life rolling, because to me, music is like ranch- adding it to anything makes it instantly better.

You can feel this guy's pain- he's given his whole life to something and it's as if the world doesn't care. There's a lot of bodybuilders who can feel his pain (giving your all to something and only have your efforts recognized by a small, marginalized faction of the athletic world.)

If only I had $3 million...

Good use for Old CDs

It sorta reminds of prison, where the weights were taken out, and they improvise workouts any way the can. Well for those who feel trapped in their cube or office (Me? Never!) here's an idea. There's no excuse for mediocre biceps! haha...

I've seen dummies train...

But never puppets!

Michael Phelps Eats 12,000 Calories per Day

And he does it in 3 meals!

Breakfast: 3 fried egg sandwiches, 2 cups coffee, 5-egg omlette, bowl of grits, 3 pieces of french toast, 3 chocolate chip pancakes

Lunch: 1 pound pasta, 2 ham and cheese sandwiches, energy drink (1,000 calorie)

Dinner: 1 pound pasta, 1 large pizza, energy drink (1,000 calorie)

And he has a wicked moustache...

I quit

For all who have wondered if they could enjoy the benefits of exercise without the pain of exertion, the answer may one day be yes — just take a pill that tricks the muscles into thinking they have been working out furiously.

A Thirst Quenching Workout

Proper hydration gives you a good workout in most cases...
but in the case it will actually hinder your strength gains.

A New Way to Lose

"Want to lose weight but feel like you have no outside support? Just enlist the help of the American Nazi Party! That's how John Bear, author of the Blackmail Diet, lost 75lbs.

Bear put $10,000 in escrow with his attorney to be donated to the Nazi Party group if he didn't lose 75lbs in one year. He absolutely loathed the idea of giving money to them and thus made a commitment to get the weight off. Of course, he accomplished his goal. And how did he keep the weight off? By doing the same thing and writing a check to the Ku Klux Klan, of course.

Whatever works, I guess."
